When faced with disease, more people are more concerned about the cost of their care than the actual disease itself. Even with good insurance, many individuals and families are left with medical expenses that simply overwhelm them. For a family facing serious disease or illness, out-of-pocket medical costs can be over $17,400 in addition to insurance premiums. When thinking of the average annual income of American families, that figure is financially devastating.

Our mission is inspired by the story of the Good Samaritan. The book of Luke tells us that a Priest and Levite passed the suffering man by before he was eventually helped by the Samaritan. In the end, the Samaritan not only saved the man’s life but also paid for his care.
Were the Priest and the Levite bad people, or did they simply not know how to help? If they were with the Samaritan when the man was found, would they have helped? We believe so. Many of us face this dilemma daily. There are needs that we know need to be met, but we don’t know how to meet them, so we pass these opportunities by.

Paying Medical Expenses, Simplified
Participants receive a Samaritan Fund Program Visa debit card with pre-calculated and pre-loaded funds to cover their deductibles, copays, and other out-of-pocket expenses. Our card uses technology similar to an HSA card that will not approve non-medical charges. This ensures that your donation is used as it was intended.
Participants can easily keep track of their expenses in our mobile app or online portal.

Our years of experience as advisors in the medical insurance industry has allowed us to work with thousands of companies and their employees. As advisors, we saw the cost of insurance, cost of care, and even the annual compensation of those going through these difficult times. We understand that advisors and HR directors can often see the entire medical and financial pictures of their employees and participants. For this reason, we continue to use our network of employers , medical insurance brokers, and advisors to find those truly in need of a Samaritan.
